We thought it might be fun to show off our Christmas trees as a way to get to know us!

Here are some of Emily's ornaments from her tree.

Emily: When I had my first kid, I decided I wanted a tree that was full of our memories. I had started collecting ornaments from trips, she began making ornaments and we've inherited ornaments from family that has passed. 

A couple things as you look throught my ornaments.. 

I got married in 2010 to Ryan. We met in high school and he was so dang funny. He was a quiet guy but I would tell everyone that he had the best jokes. I call them "Ryan quotes". 

I work in a hospital. I used to do patient care (and miss it SO MUCH). 2020 was a wild year, especially before we knew much about Covid. My boss gave us those ornaments that year to commemorate the wild time it was! Grateful for herd immunity especially as someone who is "high risk" with kidney problems and high blood pressure. Our mom got really sick with covid and almost died. We couldn't see her because of visitor restrictions and seeing her hanging on through facetime was rough. They gave her a cocktail of medications that made her feel even worse for a few days. 

I have 3 dogs and 1 cat. You often hear the dogs in the recording because they're old and I can't tell them what to do. Dex was our first dog, we decided to get him a buddy, Daizy. They are both 14 years old. When they were 2, they had 3 puppies and we kept Dodger. 

Hank is our cat. He was living with a feral cat colony at Ryan's shop. He was super friendly and LOVED Ryan. We brought him home and he's such a cute kitty.

I LOVE Disneyland and Traveling. I have a season pass and would go every weekend if I could. ;) I have a few ornaments that I've purchased from Disneyland. I got a couple new Haunted Mansion ornaments this year. Haunted Mansion and Pirates are my 2 favorite rides. 

The New York ornament is from the One World Trade Center and the M&Ms ornament is from M&M World in Las Vegas.

The angel came in a set of 3. They were from my grandma and grandpa who were important parts of my childhood. 

I love the mini s'mores people. I love s'mores and these little characters are so cute! This is a little version of my family as s'mores!

The Owl is from Knott's Berry Farm that I bought for my Grandma one year. She lived in Southern California in the 50s and 60s and loved going to Knott's to get chicken dinners. When I saw them, I wanted her to have them. She passed away last year and the 2 owls now have a home on my tree.
